It was easy to set up, and the padding is nice & thick; which seems to provide a great deal of comfort to our now aging & boney boy. We have a 19 yr old Birman (a large kitty), so I needed to get a decent sized bed to replace his old rectangular bed that had seen it’s better days & get him into something extremely comfortable. Believe it or not our boy fits nicely into this bed – as evidenced by how he curls up and genuinely looks like he is getting the best sleep of his life! I’ve also noticed that he loves just hanging around it it for it’s cushy warmth.Because of his kidney issues, he’s had some “issues” that made it necessary to wash & dry – and it washes & dries really great. It’s a very soft bed and the cushioning almost feels like a mattress. It’s thick and sturdy, definitely durable, but also soft and comfy feeling. It’s a little taller around the edges so she can rest her head over on the side. The bed took about a day and a half total to fully decompress, and it is easily machine washable. The bed is actually larger than I thought it would be, so that’s a plus. She can fit in there comfortably with plenty of room to stretch out or curl up.
