I have NEVER written a review before, but I wrote a very similar one about VETS BEST as well.This past month and a half of dealing with a severe flea infestation has been one of the most challenging times I’ve ever experienced. I have spent so much money and tossed out so many things. I feel like we all need a support group. Did WONDERSIDE totally magically fix my issue, no, but did it help immensely, speed the process up, and help with my state of mind? Sure did!Side note: HOW is there no easy way in the year 2023 to get rid of fleas?!?I don’t want to get my hopes up too much that I am completely rid of Fleas, but I think I am for sure on somewhat of the other side of it. What I found most helpful during this process was reading everyone else’s experiences, so I’ll share mine in the hopes it helps at least one other person.My indoor (never outdoor, untreated) cat had been leaving this blackish dirt everywhere. I really had no idea what it was, I usually have my windows and screen door open and there was a lot of construction around my apartment, silly me just figured it was that…Well, I was scrolling through TikTok one night, and this woman is talking about how she noticed ‘flea dirt’ on her foster kitten, at that moment, everything just clicked into place for me. I checked my poor cat out, and sure enough I saw the little buggers. The next morning I woke up and my life has not been the same.Called the vet and they couldn’t get him in for a few days (because of course), so I attempted a flea bath, but nothing is going to work until you treat the animal and start seriously treating your house. I have been vacuuming every single day, twice a day. I start with my big vacuum going around each and every wall of the house with the hose, and then I do a big vacuum. I then send the Roomba around. I did ultimately decide to toss my rugs, which some say was an overreaction, but anyone who is deep in the middle of this I think can understand. I vacuum the couch every other day. I did lay a sheet down over it, so the cat would have less contact.It took me about a week to start using the spray. I bought WONDERSIDE, I bought both the Lemongrass and Cedarwood sent. I genuinely liked the smell of the Cedarwood. The Lemongrass was a little too pungent. However, I will take any strong smell for 5 mins than have fleas running wild.I attempted to spray my cat down with it, which he HATED, but had to do it. Just a note, he started drooling at the mouth, which is normal and should stop in a few seconds. I poured a bit of it in a bowl and let him chow down on treats while I rubbed it into his fur.The only downsides about WONDERSIDE is that it is on the pricier side. As I was bleeding money, I was looking for a cheaper alternative, and I started using VETS BEST. Again, I cannot directly know for sure if this has done anything more than give me a little peace of mind, but let’s put it this way, I just placed 3 orders. And I will say that I do think that it has 100% sped up this never-ending process.So, what would I say to someone just starting this terrible journey?1. Treat your animal. My indoor cat will never be off flea meds for the rest of his life. I never want to go through this again.2. Start vacuuming daily, and if you have a roomba, send that around too. Empty the vacuum OUTSIDE every time. It’s also a good way to check your progress.3. Brush your pet daily. I had a bowl of hot water with Dawn Dish Soap so they would die a hot soapy death.4. Wash bedding every other day at least. (This has been the hardest, as I live in an apartment and have to pay for laundry, but you HAVE to do it)5. Spray around the house every few days and then don’t vacuum to let it sit.6. If you can get rid of your rugs, I would…truly whatever gives your peace of mind, that’s important.7. CapStar! You can get it from your vet or way cheaper on Chewy. I wish I had known about this pill sooner.8. I spoke with exterminators, and they said that they can come ‘treat’ the house, but given the life cycle of fleas, they’ll have to come back again. Really the only thing you can do is vacuum.I like to think that over a month in a half in, I am almost on the other side and now am just maintaining to keep the next cycle at bay.    5.0 out of 5 stars Works as well as topical tick & flea preventive. No toxic chemical is my No1 reason for using it. **update after 1 year of use** : my dog attracted Lyme disease. I regret using natural product like this one. 1. you need to spray your dog with it every time they go out. 2. it does not kill ticks so any attachment of ticks that last more than 24 hours will expose your dog to Lyme. I no longer use this product and use Advantix II instead. It is no joke getting Lyme disease, my dog was sore at all joints and couldn’t even walk. It was sad to see. Thank God Doxycycline works for my dog, but she continues to test positive for Lyme even she does not show any symptoms. Lyme bacteria is very hard to kill entirely. So whenever your dog is sick and immune system is down, the Lyme can make a come back.Again, don’t buy this product and think you can get rid of ticks. It is useless against ticks.I really hate the smell – it is very strong when first applied, and it lingers for hours. I believe my dog hates it more as their noses are more sensitive. My dog always makes a run for it when I spray her down. Another downside is that you need to spray your dogs with it frequently, like daily. On the label, it says “use as needed for ongoing protection”, and “safe for daily use”. So, basically the manufacturer did not provide any evidence regarding how long the protection lasts after each use. As for the effectiveness, this product does drive away fleas. I saw with my own eyes that a flea jumped for its dear life after I sprayed and fluffed my dog’s coat. The manufacturer said it kills fleas, flea eggs, and larvae, so I would trust that and you should change all beddings, covers, or anything you can throw into the washing machine if you spot a flea issue. Then continue to spray your dog with the product and any furniture they encounter for good measure. After all, you won’t be able to see flea eggs and they are the root cause that your flea problem persists despite all efforts of eliminating adult fleas. As for ticks, I think this product is just as effective as topical tick prevention. First, most oral tick prevention requires the ticks to bite so they can die within 24 hours which is not enough time for them to transmit Lyme disease. Most topical tick prevention contains permethrin so it will prevent and repel tick attachment, but it is not 100%. I suspect the cedar oil smell in Wondercide will repel tick attachment, because I have never found a tick after using the spray that day (but not next day). But I am not 100% sure how cedar oil works on ticks. More science needed to be done. All I know is that ticks are harder to kill than fleas, but most diseases require the tick to attach for more than 48 hours. In other words, finding a slightly engorged (and likely dying) tick on your dog is mostly likely fine as it takes time for them to transmit disease. Anyway, I guess what I am trying to say is that ticks prevention is harder to achieve with Wondercide, but it gives similar level of protection as compared to oral or topical treatment, without the harsh chemicals. As of now, Nov 2023, I was not able to find any better solutions than Wondercide for my dog. Cedar oil seems to be the least toxic solution so I am going to stick with it until something better comes along.Variation: Size: 16 Fl OzColor: Cedarwood

   4.0 out of 5 stars Kills fleas directly hit by spray - House smells like lemon Pledge exploded Definitely kills fleas on contact. The problem is you have to directly contact them with the stuff. I know it doesn’t really prevent them unless my dog was absolutely coated in the stuff. I did have to reapply about twice a day. But as a temporary measure over a holiday weekend until I could get an Rx and pest control out, this at least kept a lot of fleas off of my dog.I would recommend putting more on their face and hind end than I did. That’s where they ended up. I wanted to avoid sensitive areas, so I only lightly rubbed some on in those spots. Wrong move. The fleas gathered on my little girl’s face and behind. So I ended up putting just about as much on those places as the rest of her.I used almost all of the bottle over about a 3-4 day period. You really have to put it all over your dog.WARNING: They don’t tell you on the product’s description, but the lemongrass scent will turn a white dog yellow until it has been removed. While this might be handy to be able to tell where I put the stuff and what I missed, I don’t want any Ol’ Yellers. :OThe lemongrass scent will make your dog and house smell like lemon Pledge furniture polish. If you have to spray bedding and carpets, it gets extremely strong. I sprayed the dogs outside to help and to let fleas jump off out there, but it didn’t make much of a dent in the overall house smell. While it may seem pleasant at first, it becomes overwhelming.    5.0 out of 5 stars Works on contact but.... Works on contact but immediate follow up tactics must be employed or 24 hours later attacks resume. This involves vacuuming after product dries as well as hot water washing all exposed linens {bedroom, bath, living room etc.) de-fleaing all pets and treating the yard around the home with the Outdoor version of the flea and tick natural spray.The sprays are very effective but only with the added supporting measures, otherwise you’re wasting your money on a one day solution, I’m not partial to the lemongrass fragrance, too pungent but thankfully not long lasting. The cedarwood has a more subtle “fragrance” and not so objectionable…haven’t tried the other two odor options.Variation: Size: 16 Fl OzColor: Cedarwood

   5.0 out of 5 stars Kills fleas on contact I do not typically write product reviews on here but I just have to with this stuff. I recently discovered that my cat had some fleas on her. She’s medicated now however the life cycle of a flea is about 3 months so there are still going to be a few here and there until that cycle is over. I was brushing her with a flea comb and discovered a live flea so before it could jump away I sprayed the comb with just to see what would happen and the flea died almost immediately like within 10 seconds of me spraying it. I’ve been spraying it everyday around my house as well on the furniture especially and i’ve seen quite a few dead fleas laying around. I would 100% recommend this spray. I got the purple spray first I can’t remember the scent but it smelled decent and also worked well. I have the lemongrass scent now and it is quite strong however I really enjoy the scent.    5.0 out of 5 stars Saved my Husky during 20 day Glamping. Wow. This saved my 55lb short haired husky mix on a 20 day glamping trip. For some reason this poor guy gets attacked (my other husky mix doesn’t). I applied essentially 3x a day, morning, noon, evening. We were not near the woods line and it was 90% effective I will say. They really did not come near him. Walking near the woods line about 70% effective in the sense they mosquitoes and knats would dive bomb him but would turn away. I like that is non toxic.
