5.0 out of 5 stars High Quality Camera These are really excellent cameras. I live on the first floor of an apartment building. We are not allowed to install outdoor cameras or anything else on the outside of the building. My only other option was to buy indoor cameras that face out the windows. The cameras are adjustable. I bought multiple cameras because I live in a corner apartment. The Ring camera comes with the ability to manipulate what area your camera responds to. That is controlled from the app on my phone. This will stop my camera from being alerted if my cat comes near one of my cameras. Remember that all of my cameras are actually indoors and facing out through the windows. It also gives me the option of deciding whether it will record any motion or just motion that occurs when there is a person in view of the camera. And that function works as when I checked a motion sensor event, there was always a human being walking by or even in a different apartment building yard. I don’t normally try to include any apartment spaces around me but that’s kind of impossible because everything is so close here in the city. But the fact is that works perfectly, records perfectly and only records when there is human motion activity. So the camera can tell the difference between a human and a garbage can falling over from the wind. That’s pretty cool. Setting up multiple cameras is very easy because it simply remembers the information on the app. I would recommend getting this camera over one of the blink cameras. I have a couple of them operating but they are nowhere near as sophisticated as the ring cameras. That’s just a fact. Of course these are also a little bit more expensive, but they are worth it. It cost about $10 per month to put unlimited cameras from one household on a cloud recording system which is a good safety backup feature in case someone would rob the apartment and also take the cameras. The quality of the picture and videos are superior and very clear even at a distance. When the motion detectors are activated a very bright blue light which is easily visible through windows and screens becomes apparent to anyone outside, even in bright daylight. It is so bright that I think it would scare anyone away pretty quickly. Remember that the blue light is only activated when a person comes in view of the camera. This would scare somebody away I believe. So the blue light is not always on which is good. It also works perfectly with Alexa and I do have it hooked up to my Alexa system. You can simply ask one of your Alexa video devices like the Echo Shows to show one of the cameras which can be named to anything that you want it to be named to simply by changing the name of each camera in the app. You can also show it on a larger screen that is hooked into any Alexa system. The controls for this camera are simply amazing. There are so many different things you can do with these cameras. I live by myself so when I am out of town, I face one of the cameras inwards so I can watch my apartment and cat. Otherwise, I never point my cameras inwards but face all of them out the windows. It even has a setting for doing just that even though they are indoor cameras. What I am trying to say is that the cameras have a setting for looking out a window from indoors so as not to be disturbed by reflections. Also very cool and sophisticated as well is easy to manipulate. So obviously Ring is prepared for people facing these cameras outside through indoor windows. They clearly thought of everything. I would highly recommend buying one or more of these over the cheaper blink cameras. I highly recommend these indoor cameras that run on USB power. Very easy set up for each camera or just use one.Variation: Color: WhiteSize: 1 Camera

5.0 out of 5 stars The Perfect Kitty Cam! 6/24/2025: This ring indoor cam is a game changer! I caught an Amazon “deal” and bought 2 cams for the price of one.I recently adopted a senior shelter cat. 2 days later, he was hospitalized with a blocked urethra. It is imperative to monitor his litter box habits, because he is at risk for another blockage. I need to know if he is straining or entering the box an unable to produce urine. This guy is often in stealth mode and I don’t catch him in the act.I had to update the software before I could set up the cam, but once this was accomplished, the rest was a breeze. I programmed the cam to alert me when the cat uses the litter box. It has been reliable and I have discovered that my cat sometimes simply casually inspects his boxes (he has two) without any intent to use them. Both litter boxes sit side by side in a spare bathroom (in the shower). I used painter’s tape to attach the cam to a toilet paper stand. (The cam is super lightweight). I also had to feed an extension cord to the shower entry as the USB cable that comes with the cam was just too short to span across the room. So, I also used painter’s tape to secure the USB cord to the floor. This cam does not have a light, but I leave a night light plugged in. When the ambient light is low, the images sometimes record in black and white, but when the room is brighter, they are in color. The cam has a wide-angle lens (they all do) and this cam is positioned close to the litter boxes, so there is some image distortion (which is to be expected) – I am a photographer, so I notice this more than most. The audio quality is good enough to allow me to hear if his stream of urine is weak or strong. The trial subscription was incredibly useful. I wanted to know what I would be paying for. I subscribed for the year-long standard plan and plan to renew. I have had no difficult with viewing or downloading the videos and the image quality is quite good regardless of the level of lighting.First 2 clips were taken in low light conditions, third clip was taken with ambient daylight. The last photo was taken with my cell phone to show the set up.7/18/2026 Update: I now own 5 of these cams. The original senior kitty has passed, but in March, I adopted two 13-year-old, bonded, littermates with GI disease (IBD vs GI lymphoma) and chronic kidney disease. The cams now monitor their litter boxes and food stations. The 5th cam is a spare. When there is a concern, I know which kitty needs veterinary attention. I can’t imaging going back to the days of wondering which cat was responsible for signs of a worrisome behavior.Variation: Color: WhiteSize: 1 Camera

5.0 out of 5 stars I definitely recommend still using this 2nd gen indoor camera! This 2nd Gen Indoor Cam is still great for current day use (as of 2026) even with more up to date models available. The 1080HD resolution provides enough clarity that I’m able to see mostly everything in view with no problems. I have a few of these around my home and it can capture a large portion if not an entire room. I think the privacy cover is a great addition. I love that you can hear and talk through the devices . Set up and connection to the ring base station was a breeze. Price was good too!Variation: Color: BlackSize: 1 Camera

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Indoor Cam — Reliable and Easy to Use I use this camera as a pet monitor so I can check on my rabbit whenever I’m away from home. It gives me great peace of mind. The video quality is very good, and I like that I can adjust it to different viewing angles. The night vision is also surprisingly clear. The setup was quite simple. I don’t need motion detection most of the time, so I usually keep notifications turned off. However, when I first set it up, the motion detection was quite sensitive. It would send me alerts whenever it detected movement and even used AI to generate a text description of what it saw. For example, it would say things like, “A person stood up from the floor,” or “A rabbit ran across the room.” I thought that was a nice feature.I blurred the first picture for privacy reasons. The poor image quality is due to the blur, not the camera itself. And the second photo was taken while my rabbit was recovering during the first 48 hours after his neuter surgery. He was temporarily staying in this enclosed space for rest and close monitoring. No rabbits were mistreated.Overall, I’m very happy with this camera.Variation: Color: WhiteSize: 1 Camera

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Indoor Camera for Peace of Mind I now have four of these cameras throughout my house, and they’ve been one of the best investments I’ve made. I have people who come to clean my house each week, as well as a dog walker, and I’m not always home. These cameras let me check in anytime through the Ring app and give me peace of mind.I like that the cameras are very visible. The blue light lets people know they’re being recorded, which I believe is an excellent deterrent. One camera is positioned near my front door so I can see who’s coming and going, while the others cover the main areas of my home. The video quality is excellent, the app is easy to use, and the notifications are reliable. I also have Ring cameras outside my home, so everything works together in one app. If you’re looking for an indoor security camera that’s easy to set up and dependable, I highly recommend this one.Variation: Color: BlackSize: 1 Camera
