It’s perfectly sized and well made, with a sturdy fabric construction that encourages deep, stretchy scratching. My 13 lb, somewhat finicky girl stepped right in as soon as she saw it and claimed it for a nap. So far, she prefers it just as it comes, without even a towel added. Someone has been thinking hard about what cats like and come up with a design that offers some welcome variety from the usual sisal and cardboard. Don’t be put off by its unpromising appearance on arrival. It is compressed to a flat disc, but will quickly fluff out when unfolded. The included directions offer three techniques for reshaping, but I found it was ready to go with just a little hand shaping. Miss B happily did the rest. It’s machine washable (!) and a great value. I placed it by the window, and my cat likes to go there and lie down after meals—sometimes even taking long naps in the afternoon. The size is just right for my cat, allowing plenty of room to either curl up or stretch out.
