I ended up becoming the mom of a little cat fur baby when my 3-pound Pom-Chi dragged home a half-dead abandoned runt of a kitten one day that she found at the dog park.It was a beautiful Florida afternoon, and as is common, the afternoon brought thunder and intense rain showers. I was caught in a sudden downpour, and when I looked down, I saw my sweet dog holding what appeared to be a nearly dead, abandoned kitten. She had almost no hair, and her eyes weren’t even open. My dog, with huge pleading eyes, seemed to ask, “Please mom? Can I keep it?” I brought the kitten home; pretty sure it was not going to survive but knowing I had to give it a shot.Fast forward 5 months, and now she’s a 1.4-pound beautiful kitten who thinks she’s a pup, raised by my loving Pomeranian Chihuahua.
