   5.0 out of 5 stars As Described I purchased this Amazon gift card and, after much reflection, can confirm that it does precisely what a gift card is supposed to do. Money goes on the card. The recipient then uses that same money to purchase things. Remarkably, no money disappeared, transformed into something else, or developed opinions of its own during the process.This raises an important question: what exactly are the 1-star reviewers experiencing?Did the money offend them personally? Did it arrive with an attitude? Did it insist on being spent on socks when they wanted a drone?The setup was simple. Almost suspiciously so. I added an amount. I sent it. The recipient received it. There was no labyrinth, no riddles, no side quest. In hindsight, maybe that’s the problem. Some people may crave adversity in their gifting experience. Perhaps they wanted to earn the gift card through trial and character growth.I saw complaints about print quality. This confused me deeply. The digital version is, in fact, digital. It exists conceptually, like time or regret. Printing it seems optional at best and unnecessary at worst. Complaining that a digital gift card doesn’t print well feels similar to criticizing water for not being crunchy.Functionality-wise, it functioned. That’s it. That’s the review. It did not aspire to be art. It did not tell a story. It did not heal generational trauma. It simply converted money into slightly more flexible money.Which brings me back to the rating. 4.8 stars implies disappointment, and I struggle to imagine where that disappointment lives. The money was not bent. The recipient did not report emotional distress. Bezos did not personally intervene.In conclusion, I recommend this product to anyone who wants to give someone money, but with the added thrill of letting them decide how to spend it. If that concept upsets you, perhaps consider giving a scented candle shaped like a belief system instead.Five stars.    5.0 out of 5 stars Worked like a charm! This is the easiest and safest way to send a gc. I couldn’t find an Amazon gc at the few stores I visited before Xmas. (Later it dawned on me that Walmart & Sam’s Club wouldn’t be selling them because they’re competitors.) I made my own fake little gift card using thick paper and wrote an amount on it before slipping it into the recipient’s xmas card. Later, I chose to text them the gc as opposed to using email. Having both as options is great. I was hesitant to use text in case it was sent to the wrong #. Verify the recipient’s # before sending or use their email instead. I like that the recipient can easily add it directly to their Amazon account. No physical card to have to keep track of or possible lose. My niece was, unbeknownst to me, in the midst of getting a new phone and didn’t receive her info and link to the card. Amazon gives you 6 chances to re-send the link. It does change every time to prevent theft so the recipient must use the latest link. They also allow you to send to a different phone # or email instead in case the one you previously chose isn’t working. I was able to send the link to her new # w zero issues. You can even see if the recipient redeemed the gift card. Awesome. I know people want a physical gift to give but just make a fake one and explain you’d rather text/email for security reasons. It worked perfectly! Highly recommend. Remember that it takes a few minutes so don’t worry if they don’t automatically receive it.Variation: Denomination: 0Design Name: Candy Canes (Animated)
