5.0 out of 5 stars Clay balls for terrarium drainage I rinsed them as instructed first, which cleared most of the dust. Not much to say, they are clay balls. Some hollow. Most not. Works well so far, but bioactive terrariums like mine take months to reach full water, plant rooting, and bacterial cycles so I can’t say much about longevity or performance yet. Don’t mind paying a reasonable price since it’s safe for critters and plants.You’ll need 3 bags of this to lay a 2-3 inch drainage layer for a 55gal aquarium who’s footprint is roughly 48″x 10″.
